Ambassador Club

The Ambassador Club

 Who We Are

The Ambassadors are the marketing and public relations “arm” of the Chamber and thus are expected to extend the hand of friendship to new and old members alike. Ambassadors attend the Marysville Chamber of Commerce Mixers, the monthly Ambassadors Meeting and other Chamber functions such as the Annual Meeting. They assist with Ribbon Cuttings and special events for Chamber member firms; Grand Openings for any new business in the community and assist as hosts or greeters at occasional community events. The Ambassadors honor local businesses 6 times a year with a Business Appreciation Award and goodies for their employees.

The number of events each month and year varies, and Ambassadors are not expected to attend all of the scheduled events. However, Ambassadors are expected to attend as many events as possible, including the monthly Ambassador Meeting which is usually scheduled at noon on the fourth Wednesday of each month (location varies). Attendance at Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Openings is equally important as Chamber networking events. Ambassadors should strive to be as involved as possible in Chamber events, or have another person representing their business attend in their place. For certain events they wear casual uniforms with name badges to show that they are Ambassadors for Marysville.

 Ambassador of the Year

To encourage attendance, points are awarded for attending various events, and an Ambassador of the Year award will be presented at the Chamber Annual Meeting. Points are awarded for attendance at Ambassador Meetings and Chamber Mixers; Ribbon Cuttings and other events during normal business hours; Chamber events outside normal business hours; and for recruiting and sponsoring a new Chamber member.

Co-Chairmen for the Ambassador Club are Ryan Smith & Maralee Scheele.
